GINSERV runs several named cohorts rather than one general application, so match your stage before you apply:

How applications work

Each programme page carries its own "Apply Now" link to an online application form. GINSERV's published pages do not list detailed selection criteria, fees or equity terms for most programmes, so confirm these directly with the team (connect@ginserv.in) before applying.

What programmes look for

• A validated problem or an early product, matched to the cohort you choose — SPARK UP expects an idea being validated, while ASCENT and GINCELERATOR expect a working, market-tested MVP.
• Sector fit for the specialised cohorts — GINCELERATOR is scoped to healthcare, medtech and life sciences, and the Karnataka Acceleration Network is scoped to agritech startups based in Karnataka.
• Readiness to engage with mentors and investors, since most cohorts close with a demo day in front of angels, VCs or corporate funds.

GINSERV is a technology business incubator and accelerator in Bengaluru, founded in 2010 under JSS Mahavidyapeetha, an education trust that runs over 300 institutions across India. It works out of a 55,000 sq. ft. campus in Kodihalli, behind The Leela Palace, about 15 minutes from MG Road.

GINSERV is recognised as a DST Technology Business Incubator and hosts a DST NIDHI seed support scheme, and it is also empanelled under the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme. It was recognised as a Top Accelerator by the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission in 2023.

How programmes work

GINSERV runs a set of named cohort programmes rather than one open-ended track. SPARK UP is a four-month pre-incubation cohort for early-stage founders still validating a problem, with workshops on the business model canvas, startup finances, pitch decks and customer discovery. ASCENT is a six-month, fully online incubation cohort for registered startups (at least a year old) with a working, market-tested MVP, covering mentoring, product-market fit, go-to-market strategy, financial planning and investor access. Elevate Women runs the same six-month format for women co-founders with a validated idea, ending in a demo day.

On the acceleration side, the DST NIDHI GINCELERATOR is a six-month, hybrid programme for early-stage startups in healthcare, medtech and life sciences with a market-ready MVP, offering one-on-one mentoring, go-to-market and pitching support, masterclasses, and a demo day in front of investors. The Karnataka Acceleration Network runs a similar six-month format for Karnataka-based agritech startups with existing market traction. Separately, GINCAP is a 12-week, cohort-based programme focused purely on making startups investor-ready, covering valuation, deal structuring and term sheets, and ending in a demo day with angels, VCs and corporate funds.

All of GINSERV's live programme pages describe an "Apply Now" step that leads to an online application form; none of the pages we reviewed spell out selection criteria, fees or equity terms in detail, so founders should confirm these directly with GINSERV before applying.

Who can apply

Eligibility is set programme by programme: SPARK UP and Elevate Women are open to early-stage or idea-stage founders, while ASCENT and GINCELERATOR expect a working, market-tested MVP and readiness to scale. The Karnataka Acceleration Network is restricted to startups based in Karnataka. GINSERV's broader sector focus spans healthtech, medtech, fintech, agritech, AI and deep tech, though several of its named cohorts are sector-agnostic.

Facilities

The Kodihalli campus offers hot desks, dedicated seats, private cabins and team offices, along with meeting and board rooms, an event space and auditorium for demo days and workshops, a cafeteria and breakout zones, 24/7 access with power backup, high-speed internet and on-site security.

Support services

Beyond the cohort programmes, GINSERV offers on-demand business services: company incorporation and legal compliance, NDAs, term sheets, ESOP documentation and IP filing; bookkeeping, tax filing, payroll and virtual CFO support; HR policy design, hiring and ESOP planning; and marketing support spanning brand positioning, go-to-market planning and digital advertising. A separate market-expansion service helps founders identify new markets to enter, navigate local regulatory requirements and build cross-border partnerships.

Scale

GINSERV lists success stories including KreditBee, Cradlewise, Ethan.ai and Murata Vios, and shows a wider portfolio of well over a hundred incubated startups spanning software, agritech, fintech and hardware. Its funding page cites a track record of grant and investment support enabled through its network; it does not break these figures down by year or programme.

Who runs it

GINSERV's board is chaired by Dr. C G Betsurmath, with directors S P Manjunath, S Puttasubbappa and Dr. Suresh Bhojraj. Day-to-day operations are led by Chief Operating Officer Girish Hiremath, alongside an incubation manager, a co-working and business-development lead, and a small operations team.
