About this grant
The TANUH - C-CAMP Innovations Program is run by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) with the TANUH Foundation (Translational Artificial Intelligence for Networked Universal Health Care), the AI Centre of Excellence in Healthcare hosted at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). It looks for promising Indian-developed, AI-based innovations that tackle priority non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
Focus areas include, but are not limited to: cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases; cancer (oral, breast, cervical and lung); chronic respiratory disorders; musculoskeletal disorders; and metabolic liver diseases.
Support is matched to the stage of the technology. The program will back a total of 8 innovations across three categories from a ₹2.25 crore grant pool:
- Idea to Proof of Concept (TRL 1–4): 5 grants of up to ₹15 lakh each
- Proof of Concept to MVP (TRL 5–7): 2 grants of up to ₹50 lakh each
- Deployment (TRL 8–9): 1 grant of up to ₹50 lakh

Selected startups get a grant sized to their stage: up to ₹15 lakh for Idea to Proof of Concept (TRL 1–4), and up to ₹50 lakh for Proof of Concept to MVP (TRL 5–7) or Deployment (TRL 8–9). The total grant pool is ₹2.25 crore across 8 innovations.
Alongside the grant, the program offers incubation support, access to C-CAMP's technology infrastructure, mentorship and handholding, regulatory guidance and IP support, and clinical validation and pilot deployment support. The exact offerings depend on the grant category.

Selection Process
Applications are assessed on six criteria: technical feasibility, commercialisation strategy, novelty, value proposition, team strength and societal impact. The technology should fulfil an unmet need and have societal impact, have a sound commercialisation strategy and roadmap to market, and be novel with existing IP or the potential to generate IP. The startup should have a sound business plan and a competent team.

Which disease areas does the program cover?
AI-based innovations for non-communicable diseases, including but not limited to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, cancer (oral, breast, cervical and lung), chronic respiratory disorders, musculoskeletal disorders and metabolic liver diseases.
How much funding can I get?
It depends on your stage. Idea to Proof of Concept (TRL 1–4): 5 grants of up to ₹15 lakh each. Proof of Concept to MVP (TRL 5–7): 2 grants of up to ₹50 lakh each. Deployment (TRL 8–9): 1 grant of up to ₹50 lakh. The total pool is ₹2.25 crore.
Who can apply?
Indian startups registered as Private Limited companies under the Companies Act, 2013, with at least 51% of shares held by Indian citizens. OCI and PIO cardholders do not count towards that 51%. LLPs, individual innovators and sole proprietorships are not eligible.
Do I need to own the IP?
Yes. The company must own the intellectual property related to the proposed innovation. During selection, the technology is also judged on novelty and whether it already has IP or can generate IP.
How are applications judged?
On technical feasibility, commercialisation strategy, novelty, value proposition, team strength and societal impact. The technology should meet an unmet need, have a roadmap to market, and be backed by a sound business plan and a capable team.
What is the deadline?
Applications open on 7 September 2026 and close on 28 September 2026 (Monday). Late submissions are not considered. If you submit more than once, only your latest entry is kept.
What if a question on the form doesn't apply to my stage?
Fields that don't apply to your chosen grant category can be marked as 'NA' or '0'.
