About this competition
The Anvil Hackathon is a high-intensity, 24-hour on-campus hackathon organized by Scaler School of Technology in Bengaluru. It aims to bring together approximately 600 participants from across India to build innovative, real-world technology solutions. Participants will work in teams to design and develop functional prototypes, supported by mentorship in system design, debugging, and product development, culminating in a live demo and evaluation.
Who Should Apply This hackathon is open to everyone across India, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as working professionals. There are no strict prerequisites or mandatory experience requirements; participants from any technical or non-technical background are welcome. Selection is based on the overall profile of the applicant, including prior work, projects, and technical exposure.
Format & Timeline The competition begins with Round 1: Application & Shortlisting. Participants register individually on Unstop and form teams of 2–4 members, submitting details like GitHub/LinkedIn profiles and technical background. Teams are evaluated on prior project experience, technical skills, and overall profile. Shortlisted teams advance to Round 2: the 24-Hour Hackathon Finale, conducted in-person on campus. Problem statements/themes will be released prior to this round. Teams will design, build, and iterate on a functional prototype, receiving continuous mentorship. Final deliverables include a working prototype, GitHub repository submission, and an optional demo/presentation. Teams will present their solutions to judges during the final evaluation round, based on innovation, technical complexity, feasibility, impact, and presentation.
Prizes A total prize pool of ₹50,000 is available, along with cash rewards and certificates for top-performing teams. Specific prizes include:
- Winner: ₹20,000 + Certificate
- Runner-Up: ₹12,000 + Certificate
- Second Runner-Up: ₹8,000 + Certificate
- Most Innovative Idea: ₹3,000 + Certificate (Special Award)
- Best UI/UX: ₹2,500 + Certificate (Special Award)
- Best Social Impact: ₹2,500 + Certificate (Special Award)
- Best Use of Sponsor Technology: ₹2,000 + Certificate (Special Award)
Eligibility Open to all Indian citizens and residents, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as working professionals. Teams must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members. Solo participation is not allowed.
How to Apply Register on the Unstop event page by the deadline of April 27, 2026. Log in or sign up on Unstop, create or join a team, and submit your application details, including GitHub, LinkedIn, and other relevant information. Shortlisting results, waitlist movement, RSVP confirmations, and final selections will be communicated via the Whatsapp Community. Participants must bring their own laptops and necessary development tools. Food will be provided on campus, but accommodation is not included.
