How will the applications be evaluated? When will I know if my application has been selected?

Applications are evaluated across team strength, problem fit and business viability, depth of AI usage, product readiness, and potential impact for SHGs. Selection proceeds through two rounds — internal screening followed by external panel review involving RBIH and other ecosystem representatives — over a 2-week period.

Can one organization submit more than one application?

Only one application per innovation will be considered. If multiple entries are submitted for the same idea, only the strongest version will be reviewed.

My startup has received grants/awards/equity investments. Can I still apply to this program?

Yes, you can still apply. We request you to highlight the support you have received from previous programs.

What happens after the Grand Finale at Global Fintech Fest?

Selected startups will be onboarded for pilot opportunities through NRLM/SRLM networks, with support for deployment, monitoring, and ecosystem integration post-program.

The Swanari TechSprint 4.0, an innovation challenge co-created by RBIH and IIMA Ventures, stands at the forefront of combining fintech innovation with the critical need for financial inclusion among women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across India. This national initiative is strategically designed to leverage artificial intelligence to build robust financial systems that empower lakhs of SHG members, Sakhis, and women entrepreneurs. By deploying secure and scalable AI-enabled fintech solutions, the program aims to address critical gaps in credit access, savings, and digital bookkeeping that currently hinder the economic progress of rural women.

More than just a competition, Swanari TechSprint 4.0 is envisioned as a foundational capacity-building movement. It seeks to establish a resilient infrastructure layer that can facilitate and sustain mass-scale livelihoods for women nationwide, ultimately showcasing successful innovations at the prestigious Global Fintech Fest. Through its comprehensive approach, the program not only identifies and accelerates promising AI-driven fintechs but also actively strengthens last-mile financial service delivery, enables crucial real-world pilots within SHG networks, and fosters enduring partnerships between innovators and key ecosystem stakeholders like NRLM/SRLMs. This concerted effort is geared towards transforming prototypes into widely deployed and scalable solutions that drive tangible impact for women in rural India.

Applications are rigorously evaluated based on several key criteria: the strength and experience of the team, the alignment of the solution with the problem statements (problem fit), the business viability of the proposed fintech solution, the depth and innovation of AI usage, the readiness of the product for deployment (MVP or demonstrable early traction), and the potential for significant impact within the Self-Help Group (SHG) ecosystem. The selection process unfolds in two distinct rounds: an initial internal screening conducted by the program organizers, followed by a comprehensive external panel review. This external panel comprises representatives from RBIH and other relevant ecosystem partners, ensuring a broad and expert assessment. The entire evaluation process is typically completed within a two-week period after the application deadline.
