The Department of Computational Intelligence (CINTEL), in association with the SRMIST ACM SIGAI Student Chapter, proudly presents BLOCKQUEST 2026 – AI Arcade Challenge. This exciting event is designed to merge creativity with technology, offering participants a unique opportunity to delve into the world of game development.
About the Challenge
Participants are tasked with designing and building their own arcade games, creatively integrating AI-based concepts using Microsoft MakeCode. The challenge emphasizes innovation, engaging gameplay, and an exceptional user experience. It's an ideal platform for both beginners and seasoned tech enthusiasts to showcase their ideas and technical prowess.
Who Should Apply
This competition is open to students and tech enthusiasts eager to gain hands-on experience in game development and AI. Participants will work in teams of 1 to 3 members, fostering collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Format & Timeline
BLOCKQUEST 2026 is a single-day event scheduled for April 20, 2026, held physically at TP 2-712, SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Teams will have the opportunity to build and present their AI-powered arcade games on this day.
Prizes
The competition features a total prize pool of up to ₹7,000. Individual prizes are awarded as follows:
- First Prize: ₹4,000
- Second Prize: ₹2,000
- Third Prize: ₹1,000
In addition to cash prizes, all winners will receive certificates, and OD (On Duty) will be provided for student participants.
Eligibility
Open to students. Participants must form teams of 1 to 3 members. A registration fee of ₹149 per participant is required.
